Jeff Coggin

With an extensive background in accounting, finance and tax, Jeff is a highly experienced executive having served in the capacities of Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer throughout his career which includes foreign and domestic entities. He served as President & CEO of The SIM Group for over 30 years which was engaged in a diverse range of industries to include agriculture, commercial and residential real estate development, home building, resort management, golf operations, business consulting and management services. His current role with Preserve Communities includes management of Preserve Homes & Neighborhoods, and community development for East Argent in SC ,West Argent in SC, and New Hampstead in GA. During his time at SIM, Jeff was responsible for the development of many highly successful communities throughout the Southeast, including Brickyard Plantation and Hamlin Plantation located in Mt Pleasant, SC, The Country Club of South Carolina and many more. 

Jeff headed up property acquisition and development for numerous communities and has overseen several renowned homebuilding companies that built and sold over 3,000 homes with offerings up to $ 4 million. Jeff’s prior professional career has included positions of Controller and Chief Financial Officer with companies such as Canal Industries, Waccamaw Group and Snowshoe Ski Resort.

Jeff has further managed the international holdings of the Daniel M. McDonald Estate, including its operating entities and related trusts. He has served as Managing Trustee on many trusts and boards, several of which have facilitated philanthropic grants to educational institutions and charitable organizations focused on the critical needs of children, with combined donations exceeding $45 million worldwide.
